**Personal & Career Journey**

1. Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you started your modeling career?

I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. At the tender age of 16, I embarked on my modeling journey during the summer before my freshman year of high school. My mother, with the noble intention of boosting my confidence and fostering my overall well-being, introduced me to the world of modeling.

2. What inspired you to become a model?

Growing up, I was inspired by magazines and television shows, and I’ve always dreamed of being one of them.

3. Was there a defining moment that made you realize modeling was your true passion?
I was constantly moving between different scenes in my life. I was creating a family and raising children in between all of that. I started as a makeup artist, but then I became more creative in my fashion styling for myself and my children. For some reason, I always gravitated towards modeling. That’s when I realized that my passion and purpose were meant for the fashion industry. It always guided me back to the path I was meant to be on.

**Industry Experience & Challenges**

4. What has been the most exciting or memorable shoot you’ve worked on?

The most exciting and memorable shoot was when I was covered in glitter and gold paint. It was a lot of fun and messy, but it was all worth it in the end. And let’s not forget the most memorable shoot near the rocky shoreline of Blowhole in Hawaii. The waves crashed in, knocking out the photographer’s flashlight that had been brought to the shoot. That one shot was everything.

5. Have you faced any challenges in the modeling industry? If so, how did you overcome them?

I’ve encountered numerous challenges in the modeling industry, primarily due to my tattoos, my height, and my energetic personality. Instead of letting these obstacles deter me, I’ve learned to professionally endure them. I remind myself that behind every closed door lies a greater opportunity waiting for me to seize it. Every rejection, in my mind, is a blessing in disguise, paving the way for something even more extraordinary.

6. How do you prepare for a big shoot or runway show?

I meticulously plan ahead to ensure that I have everything I need well in advance. I aim for a maximum of two weeks for preparation, encompassing both props and a comprehensive beauty regimen. In my opinion, prepping for a show provides a comprehensive overview of what to expect on the big day.

**Creative Process & Style**

7. How would you describe your modeling style?

I would describe myself as a bit of everything rolled into one. I like to break the mold and be different from what a typical model is expected to be. Why limit yourself to one style when you can be diverse and embrace a variety of looks.

8. Do you prefer editorial, commercial, or runway modeling, and why?

I prefer all options! I believe I’m capable of more than just one choice. I enjoy challenges and love to push myself beyond my capabilities. Sometimes, I like to surprise myself and accomplish things I didn’t think possible.

9. What role do you think storytelling plays in modeling?

I firmly believe that storytelling plays a significant role in the modeling industry. Every obstacle you overcome conveys your aspirations, inspiring others not to give up on their dreams. The challenges and lessons you’ve faced, whether good or bad, don’t matter. The experience and knowledge you’ve gained is a journey that needs to be shared to inspire others to be great.

**Influences & Inspirations**

10. Are there any models, photographers, or designers who have inspired you?

The movie Gia, the incredible model who never prioritized anything over her work and executed it exceptionally well. Gigi Hadid, the stunning model, along with her sister Bella, exuded confidence and intrigue as they walked the runway. Vivian Westwood, Betsy Johnson, and Miu Miu are just a few examples of incredibly inspiring fashion designers. Their styles are simply amazing to me. I adore everything about it.

11. How do you stay motivated and continue growing as a model?

My motivation stems from the ups and downs of life. Ultimately, it all boils down to what truly matters: your passion and purpose for the things you love. I continuously grow as a person with every step of the way. Even being a mom broadens my horizons because my children are my future. What I do is for their benefit, knowing that your dreams don’t have to be crushed. You can achieve everything by simply putting yourself out there and not caring about what others think. Those who think negatively about you are just projections of their own insecurities. They don’t define who you are. They’re just external noise trying to disrupt the positive aspects of your life. It’s best to embrace everything you thought was impossible. Doubts need to be silenced. Lead by faith, not fear.

**Future Goals & Advice**

12. What are your biggest career goals for the future?

I’ve started taking acting classes, aiming to become a skilled actress, drawing inspiration from my modeling background. This pursuit also helps me develop greater confidence in front of people, particularly in performing arts. While I do experience stage fright, my ring truly makes a difference. It transforms me into an older, more confident persona, akin to an alien superstar.

13. Do you have any dream collaborations or brands you'd love to work with?

I would be thrilled to collaborate with various artists and creators in the future to create something that would resonate with a global audience in the art world. Fashion is not just about aesthetics; it’s a powerful medium for self-expression and emotional conveyance. It’s a way to bring your inner child to life and appreciate the beauty and wonder of the world around you.

14. What advice would you give to aspiring models looking to break into the industry?

To discover your true self, be authentic and courageous enough to step out of your comfort zone. Embrace contradictions, combining strength and softness, depth and lightheartedness, beauty and intelligence, confidence and humility, quick wit, and a touch of humor. Find contentment in simple pleasures, like climbing a mountain and

savoring the joy of doing nothing. The world may try to categorize you, but remember that your true essence lies in being a person with a diverse range of qualities. Embrace the journey of self-discovery, as there are parts of yourself yet to be explored, greater loves yet to be found, and extraordinary experiences waiting to be discovered. Life itself awaits your exploration, so set aside your expectations and venture forth.
