Have you faced any challenges in the modeling industry? If so, how did you overcome them?
Regarding the challenges I have faced, balancing a career while raising three biological and three foster children has been demanding. I have overcome these hurdles through discipline, creative scheduling, and the ability to prepare for photoshoots and runway shows at a moment's notice.

Was there a defining moment that made you realize modeling was your true passion?
As an introvert and a survivor of domestic violence, I never anticipated how transformative this path would be. Modeling provided me with a sense of identity and self-discovery I had not previously known. A defining moment occurred during an early session with a seasoned photographer; when he shared the images, other women began asking how they could achieve a look like mine. Seeing that my presence could inspire others helped me realize that modeling was not just a hobby, but a powerful vehicle for personal growth and empowerment.

What inspired you to become a model?
My inspiration comes from every professional I have worked with. I believe in a divine plan and am especially inspired by photographers who are genuinely excited to work with me, fellow models who collaborate, and designers whose fittings and showcases have left me feeling empowered—from my first steps on the runway to my experiences as a VIP.

Do you have any dream collaborations or brands you'd love to work with?
Regarding dream collaborations, I am interested in commercial opportunities and acting work. As a brand ambassador, I am particularly passionate about supporting small businesses, especially those in the food and motorcycle industries.

What role do you think storytelling plays in modeling?
When it comes to the role of storytelling in modeling, I believe every image creates a narrative through the model's facial expressions, body language, clothing style, props, and background. I truly enjoy creating images that invite the viewer to imagine what happens next.

Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you started your modeling career?
My modeling journey began unexpectedly when I accompanied my daughter to a photoshoot in Goldbar, Washington. Although she eventually shifted her focus to music, I began receiving individual requests from photographers, which led me to adopt the professional name Calista Marie.
How do you stay motivated and continue growing as a model?
I stay motivated and continue growing as a model within my personal connections. Modeling can be demanding however without demand... there is less desire, so I keep connected and work with people who like working outside the box so to speak.
What advice would you give to aspiring models looking to break into the industry?
My advice to aspiring models is to be true to yourself. If you follow your dreams, understand that the world is filled with diverse cultures and there will always be people who recognize your worth. Stay committed to your path and allow yourself to grow from humble beginnings into something truly remarkable.
